Day 18- Nature walk

Luca and I went on a nature walk around the neighborhood today. Honestly, calling any walk a "nature walk" is one of the easiest ways to get my son to walk with me, and it's probably one of my favorite things to do together. We collect anything interesting with a "no picking plants that don't belong to us" rule.
Ha. My city kid was particularly fascinated today by a man mowing his lawn. He was amazed that that's a thing people do and begged me to let him do that when he gets older.
Today's pendant is a part of a pine tree stem-- does anyone know what that's actually called? I think it'd be lovely cast in metal.
