February Pendant-a-day Challenge
Putting together a new website has been looming on my to-do list for quite a while. While taking some unplanned "time-off" from this jewelry business, I deleted my old site along with most of the files that went with it when my son was just a few months old. I'm not sure what I was thinking exactly- I guess I could blame "mom brain" or new baby fog or whatever. At any rate, my tech skills do not match what I have in my head, and virtually starting from scratch has been frustrating to say the least. I've been listening to creative business podcasts, watching how-to videos, trying to do all the things all at once, getting overwhelmed and getting nothing accomplished. Long ago are the days when I could just pull a couple all nighters and get-it-done. (Not that that's a bad thing.)
So... I'm not entirely sure if this is another form of procrastination or if I'm actually on the precipice of something great, but I created a "challenge" for myself that hopefully will be just the kick in the butt that I need. I'm going to make one pendant every day for the month of February. If February goes well, I'll continue in March making something else, and so on, but no pressure to continue. Baby steps (for my baby altered brain). I kind of half participated in Ring-a-day and Thing-a-day challenges but didn't start on time or gave up early for one reason or another. This time around, I have more invested... AND it's just one month.
- Make one pendant each day in the month of February using materials on hand (NO BUYING THINGS!)
- Should fit roughly within a 1.5" circle or square
- No excess planning- only focus on the day's pendant on that day
So that's the plan! Feel free to join in or comment if you'd like. I'm excited to see where this goes!
